What these guides are for
Each guide exists because the same question came up on enough surveys that it was worth writing down properly: which residence route applies, what the padrón actually requires, when you need an NIE, and how the customs relief on household goods works when it is done in the right order.
Where a guide states a Spanish, UK or EU rule, it links to the official source beside the claim and lists every source at the end. Where it describes how we work, it says that instead. The distinction matters: the first kind of statement you should verify before relying on it, because these rules change and we are movers rather than advisers; the second kind is simply how the job runs.
Every guide carries the date it was last reviewed and a note of what changed. If you are reading one a long way after that date, treat the regulatory detail as a starting point rather than a current position, and check it against the linked sources before you act on it. All guides are written by the UK–Spain Removals editorial team.
