Booking terms

These terms, together with the written quote and the insurance certificate that accompanies it, form the contract between UK→Spain Removals and you. The summary below outlines the key points; the full terms accompany every written quote, and nothing on this page replaces them.

Quotes

Written quotes are valid for thirty days from issue.

Booking and deposit

A booking is confirmed when you sign the quote and pay the deposit. Refundable up to fourteen days before scheduled collection, as set out under Cancellation below. Deposits are held against the booking and are refundable on the terms set out below; your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in addition to them and are not affected by anything on this page.

Balance payment

The balance is due before the lorry leaves the UK.

Cancellation

More than fourteen days before scheduled collection: deposit refunded in full. Within fourteen days: charge equal to the deposit. Within seventy-two hours: deposit plus reasonable costs already committed.

Insurance

All-risks goods-in-transit cover included. Certificate accompanies the written quote.

Claims

Claims must be reported in writing within seven days of delivery.

Customs paperwork

We lodge the UK export declaration and file the Spanish customs claim for change-of-residence relief on your behalf.

Items we cannot move

Live plants and animals, perishable food, hazardous materials, items prohibited under UK or Spanish customs law.

Disputes

Raise a complaint with us in writing first and we will work through it with you.

In any event, nothing here removes your statutory rights. As a consumer you may pursue a complaint under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations 2015, and you retain the right to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales.
